ABOUT ECOOKING
Ecooking is down to earth luxury for your skin with an uncompromising focus on efficiency. Launched in 2015, Ecooking is everyday luxury for your skin. Developed with a strong focus on the ingredients and the effect they have. It’s developed by an experienced Danish skin care manufacturer and entrepreneur who initially produced and bottled all products by hand at her little factory.
Ecooking products are developed as a series of products to solve certain problems with the skin. Our approach has been to troubleshoot any specific skin challenge. Step by step, we have formulated and developed products to meet any need, and now our range is wide enough to tackle any particular skincare difficulty.
Ecooking is for everyone – regardless of skin type, gender or age. We have products for every skin type or challenge – fine lines, wrinkles, acne or redness. Our philosophy is that everyone deserves that sense of well-being that healthy and well-nourished skin gives.
The names of our products are straight forward, no long, wordy names! A day cream is called – a day cream because we believe in honesty and transparency, which is why all our labels show precisely what the products contain. Therefore, they are easy to grasp, easy to use and so efficient you get rid of the worries about your skin and just enjoy the beauty of life. Basically — we help people to healthy and beautiful skin without too much nonsense.
We use only the best ingredients, each of which is selected according to the desired effect they have on the skin. And yet, we can maintain a price that makes them available to all, because we believe in everyday affordable luxury skin care.
Our products are produced with thought for you and the environment. You can recycle our packaging. Our packing fill is made of corn and is, therefore, easily recycled with water.
THE STORY BEHIND ECOOKING
Anyone who has experienced a personal crisis knows that it leaves scars. That is what happened to me. Literally – and visibly. The crisis affected the skin on my face. Suddenly my skin became more ‘tired’ and ‘grey’ than ever before. Because I also lost a lot of weight in a short space of time, my skin completely collapsed.
Starting at home on the kitchen table
With many years’ experience in the industry, I am familiar with the kinds of ingredient that can be used to boost the skin. That is why I decided literally to take matters into my own hands. I brought raw ingredients home from the laboratory and started to mix creams, serums, and oils on my kitchen table. Every other day, I mixed a new batch, which I kept in the refrigerator.
In just a short space of time, I saw the first visible results on my skin. The results were so palpable that my home-mixed products quickly became popular with family and friends who received them in repurposed bottles and jam jars.
Products were problem solvers
My first ‘production’ consisted of seven products for my own use. But soon friends and family started to ask for specific solutions to problems that they were experiencing here and now. That is why there was no overall concept to the products, no primary ingredient because they were all created based on specific requirements. Each product was a troubleshooter.
Helping others with their skin problems was sheer therapy for me, and I never set out to develop the products in order to sell them. But the rumor of their efficiency spread and suddenly beauticians and retailers started to approach me. The need and a wish to help even more people was born.That is how Ecooking started – a Danish skin care range that is rich on organic and natural ingredients and does not compromise on effectiveness. Ecooking is based on honesty and transparency, which is why all our labels show precisely what the products contain.
I have often received calls from my mother who did not understand the labels on the various products she was buying. That is why my products have names that tell you precisely what they are. A day cream is called a day cream and nothing else.
